Romancing Ireland, Episode 1
Kika Chix takes on the challenge of cooking the favourite dish of Brazil, as voted by the Irish Brazilian community. The main challenge isn’t in the cooking, however. It’s in the ingredients. The Romancing Ireland challenge is to make a version of the dish that has only Irish-produced ingredients. The dish the Brazilians have chosen is ‘Carne de sol’ – Meat of the sun. Ireland is world class meat, but the same can’t be said of the sunshine needed to cure the beef.
